At DG Environmental we manage forests by mimicking natural processes, increasing structural complexity, increasing biological diversity, and leaving the forest in a healthier, more resilient state than we found it. To us, forest management should recognize that forests are ecosystems with diverse biota, complex structure, and multiple functions, and not simply a collection of trees valuable primarily for the production of wood. Our stewardship maintains the integrity of the forest ecosystems we manage.

We work closely with each landowner in identifying their goals and objectives and provide sound, honest stewardship advice and consultation. We will work with you to design effective treatments for supporting wildlife, water quality, recreation, wildfire safety and preparedness, and/or aesthetic enjoyment.

At DG Environmental, we always look at the bigger picture. We recognize that our properties do not exist in isolation, they are a part of a larger landscape and community and we should manage them as such. Our staff is dedicated to conducting outreach to neighboring properties and develop community-wide projects that can help improve and protect our forests as a whole, not just small pockets of them. With our in-house grant writers, project developers, and extensive network of 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organizations and land management contractor partners we will always be identifying avenues to fund our projects at little to no cost to the landowner.
